HiTech Minerals Receives Oregon Permit for McDermitt Lithium Project Drilling
HiTech Minerals Inc. has secured a state drilling permit for the McDermitt Lithium Project, with drilling set to begin in September 2026. Initial results from Phase 1 drilling are expected in late 2026, aiming to enhance resource confidence and gather essential geotechnical data.

HiTech Minerals Inc., a subsidiary of Jindalee Lithium, has obtained a drilling permit for the McDermitt Lithium Project from the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. Phase 1 of the Exploration Plan of Operations, approved by the US Bureau of Land Management in December 2025, involves up to 100 drill sites as part of a larger program of 168 sites.
Initial results from drilling are anticipated in the December 2026 quarter. The project will utilize reverse circulation and core drilling techniques, focusing on the central deposit area identified in the Pre-Feasibility Study.
The 2023 Mineral Resource Estimate indicates a total of 3,000 million tonnes at a lithium grade of 1,340 ppm. The ongoing wildfires in Oregon pose significant risks to operations and necessitate emergency protocols.
