HIVE's BUZZ HPC Announces 320-MW AI Infrastructure in Greater Toronto
HIVE Digital Technologies' subsidiary BUZZ HPC is investing in a new 320-MW AI infrastructure project in Ontario. The facility aims to be one of Canada's largest AI gigafactories, housing over 100,000 GPUs and enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian companies.

BUZZ HPC will develop a 320-MW AI infrastructure facility in Greater Toronto, with an expected capital investment of approximately CAD 3.5 billion. The project, set to open in the second half of 2027, will utilize a 21-acre main site and a 4-acre adjacent site, focusing on sustainable and efficient AI computing practices.
It will create over 800 construction jobs and hundreds of permanent skilled positions. The initiative is positioned within a key technology corridor, enhancing Canada's role in AI innovation. This infrastructure is essential for maintaining data sovereignty and supporting national advancements in various sectors, including healthcare and finance.
