HKRITA, Looptworks, and Jeanologia Collaborate on Textile Recycling Technology
HKRITA, Jeanologia, and Looptworks have signed a memorandum to enhance mixed-fiber recycling through advanced hydrothermal technology. This collaboration aims to address the challenges of recycling blended fibers, improving sustainability in the textile industry.

HKRITA, Jeanologia, and Looptworks have formed a partnership to advance the Green Machine Circular Textile Ecosystem, focusing on mixed-fiber recycling. The initiative targets the recovery of polyester from cotton-polyester blends using HKRITA's hydrothermal technology, achieving over 98% purity.
Jeanologia will adapt this technology for industrial applications, providing CE-certified machinery. Looptworks will utilize the recovered fibers, aligning with its commitment to transform pre- and post-consumer materials into recycled products.
The collaboration aims to overcome significant recycling challenges, promoting circularity in the textile sector and reducing dependence on virgin resources. The success of this project could set a precedent for larger-scale textile recycling operations.
