Ho Chi Minh City Attracts $4 Billion in Competing Data Center Investments
Four companies are competing to build data centers in Ho Chi Minh City, with investment exceeding $4 billion. This trend is driven by lower construction costs and strategic connectivity, making the city a prime location for global tech firms.

Over $4 billion is being invested in data center projects in Ho Chi Minh City, driven by cost-effective construction and robust connectivity. The four key projects include Saigon Asset Management's $1.5 billion data center, Viettel's hyperscale facility, CMC Corporation's expanding data center, and Kinh Bac City Development's AI-focused center, which could reach $2 billion.
Vietnam aims to attract global cloud providers with additional undersea cables by 2030. However, power supply challenges and rising costs for advanced AI chips pose risks to project timelines and feasibility.
