Hochheim Delays Data Center Construction to 2028 Due to Power Capacity Issues
Hochheim plans to build a data center projected to generate €24 million, but construction is delayed until 2028 due to insufficient power capacity. Contracts between the city and the data center operator, Kauri CAB Group, are set for signing. The facility will utilize waste heat for local heating and is expected to create 40-50 jobs. The initial power supply for the center is scheduled for 2031, with construction planned to start in 2028.

Hochheim is set to construct a data center that will yield €24 million, but the project has been postponed until 2028 due to a lack of electrical capacity. The city has approved a change in the zoning plan and will formalize contracts with Kauri CAB Group, the data center operator.
The contract includes a one-time payment and additional staggered payments over ten years. The data center will have a heat output of around 40 MW, aiding Hochheim's total heating demand of 200 MW. Construction depends on the Rhein-Main-Link power line, with the first power supply expected in 2031. The company plans for a three-year construction period.
