Hopewind Deploys 650 MW Battery Storage in Rajasthan with 51°C Rated PCS
Hopewind has installed over 650 MW of utility-scale battery storage in Rajasthan, utilizing 260 units of its 2.5 MW PCS. The liquid-cooled system operates efficiently at ambient temperatures up to 51°C, ensuring reliability during peak grid demand in extreme heat.

Hopewind's central power conversion system (PCS) achieves a maximum efficiency of 98.88% and operates without derating at temperatures up to 51°C. The system is designed for the high-temperature conditions in Rajasthan, which frequently exceed 50°C, addressing the challenges of efficiency loss and downtime that typically affect energy storage systems.
The PCS features tri-zone thermal management and IP66-rated isolation cabinets, contributing to safety and reliability. Modular design allows for quick maintenance, enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, the flexible architecture permits deployments ranging from 1.25 MW to 10 MW, with complete turnkey solutions available.
The grid-forming technology enables stable operation in low-SCR environments, making this solution pivotal for utility-scale energy storage in extreme climates. Hopewind, established in 2007 and listed in 2017, has a history of innovation in renewable energy solutions and has shipped over 235 GW of products globally.
