Horiba Expands Operations in India with Key Acquisitions and Partnerships
Horiba India has acquired Pristine Deeptech to enhance its capabilities in quantum research and semiconductors. The company aims to leverage India's scientific talent to drive growth over the next 10-15 years.

Horiba India aims to double its business in the next five years, focusing on key sectors such as hydrogen, semiconductors, and quantum research. The acquisition of Ahmedabad-based Pristine Deeptech in February enhances its offerings in quantum research and next-generation semiconductor applications.
The company, which has grown from five to 600 employees over 20 years, produces mass flow controllers critical for semiconductor fabrication at its Pune facility. Horiba also leads in Raman spectroscopy, with a projected global market of $4 billion by 2026, following its acquisition of Jobin Yvon in 1997.
The company collaborates with various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for projects like drone-based irrigation and aims to solve local challenges such as water scarcity. By embedding itself in IIT labs, Horiba ensures future business opportunities as PhD students return as customers.
