HYDROGEN

HPQ Silicon Inc. (TSX-V: HPQ), a Quebec-based technology firm, has commenced production of its inaugural HPQ ENDURA+ cylindrical battery cells utilizing Novacium's GEN3 silicon-based anode technology. This production milestone, announced on August 14, 2025, marks a significant step toward commercialization, with initial batches of 18650 and 21700 cells anticipated for delivery by the end of September 2025.

The technical datasheets for these battery cells, developed in collaboration with an undisclosed manufacturer, emphasize superior performance metrics, including higher energy density and a lifecycle nearing 1,000 charge-discharge cycles, independently validated by Tsinghua University in Shenzhen. The 18650 cells boast a capacity of 4,000 mAh, while the 21700 cells offer 6,000 mAh, positioning them for integration across diverse high-capacity applications such as electric mobility, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and energy storage solutions.

HPQ's strategic initiatives include the recent establishment of the HPQENDURA+ brand, coupled with agreements aimed at accelerating the market introduction of these innovative lithium batteries in North America. The global lithium-ion battery market is projected to expand from $15.92 billion to $45.6 billion by 2033, presenting a substantial opportunity for HPQ to leverage its advancements in silicon-based materials.

President and CEO Bernard Tourillon noted the growing interest from potential global customers, affirming that technical discussions are underway with industry leaders. As production advances, HPQ anticipates an increase in partnership opportunities, reinforcing the company's commitment to meeting market demands and enhancing its competitive positioning in the rapidly evolving energy storage sector.

In conclusion, HPQ Silicon's strategic focus on innovation and market expansion aligns well with the escalating demand for high-performing battery technologies, setting the stage for enhanced operational and financial performance in the coming years.
