Huawei Launches AI Supercomputers to Compete with Nvidia at MWC 2026 in Barcelona
Huawei announced its entry into the international AI accelerator and supercomputer market at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The company will distribute its AI chips and supercomputers, including the Atlas 950 SuperPoD and TaiShan 950 SuperPoD, claiming technological advantages such as the UnifiedBus for interconnecting multiple SuperPoDs. This technology aims to rival Nvidia's NVLink and provide high bandwidth and low latency for AI training scenarios. The new solutions are expected to be available in Q4 2026.

Huawei is entering the international AI accelerator and supercomputer market, confirmed at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The company will distribute its Atlas 950 SuperPoD and TaiShan 950 SuperPoD, which utilize UnifiedBus technology to interconnect up to 8,192 NPUs, aiming to compete directly with Nvidia's NVLink.
The TaiShan 950 is marketed as the first General-Purpose Computing SuperPoD globally and is part of Huawei's vision for open systems. The solutions are set to be available by Q4 2026, with the Atlas 950 SuperPod reportedly comprising 128 computing cabinets and 32 communication racks, covering 1,000 square meters when fully assembled.
