HUBCO to Launch $150M CKD Auto Assembly Plant in Gharo, Sindh by 2026
Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO) will commence operations at its new completely knocked down (CKD) car assembly plant in Gharo, Sindh, in the second half of 2026. The project, which reached financial close in January 2026, has a total outlay of $150 million and an annual capacity of 25,000 units, with HUBCO holding a 50% equity stake.
British International Investment is contributing around 25% of the financing. HUBCO is also enhancing its electric vehicle charging network with 16 operational stations and aims to establish a corridor from Karachi to Peshawar. Additionally, it is advancing mining projects and evaluating options for an oil terminal and aluminium smelter.
