Hudbay Updates Mineral Reserves and Production Outlook with Extended Mine Lives in Canada and Peru
Hudbay Minerals Inc. has released its annual mineral reserve and resource update, affirming 2026 production guidance and issuing forecasts for 2027 and 2028. Consolidated copper production is expected to average 147,000 tonnes annually over the next three years, a 24% increase from 2025 levels. Significant extensions to mine lives have been announced for Constancia (to 2040), Snow Lake (to 2041), and Copper Mountain (to 2045). Strong gold production is also projected, averaging 243,000 ounces per year. The company's exploration programs continue to seek new resources and optimize existing operations across its projects in the Americas.
