Hybrid Air Vehicles Extends Partnership with US Naval Postgraduate School
Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) has renewed its Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the US Naval Postgraduate School to further explore military applications of hybrid aircraft. This collaboration aims to align research with US Department of War priorities and enhance operational capabilities for the US Navy and Marine Corps.
Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) has signed a renewed Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), expanding their previous partnership that focused on hybrid aircraft for military applications. New research will cover topics such as autonomous operations and long-endurance monitoring.
The initial CRADA contributed to a project with the US Department of Defense, which concluded in summer 2025, revealing findings on Airlander 10's military compatibility. As HAV prepares for increased production of the Airlander 10, the airship's advantages, including fuel efficiency and operational flexibility, may serve strategic roles in military logistics and surveillance. The ongoing commitment to research indicates potential advancements in defense capabilities.
