Hydro Donates Over 10,000 Flame-Retardant Clothing Items to Ukrainian Fire Services
Hydro has provided over 10,000 pieces of flame-retardant clothing to Ukrainian fire and rescue services in 2024-2025 through Sogn Vekst and Norwegian Ukrainian Fire and Ambulance Support. The initiative repurposes equipment from Hydro's Norwegian aluminium plants, demonstrating circular economy principles while addressing urgent needs for protective gear among emergency responders.

Additional equipment supplied includes breathing apparatuses, protective masks, and a rescue vehicle, meeting European safety standards. The transport to Ukraine was coordinated by Norwegian Ukrainian Fire and Ambulance Support.
