Hydro Power Equipment Aims for Global Expansion Under New CEO Freddy Mugeri
Hydro Power Equipment (HPE), under new CEO Freddy Mugeri, is targeting global expansion after primarily operating in South Africa. Mugeri, who took over in September, plans to build a strong team and expand locally while preparing for international entry.
HPE has developed high-pressure water-powered mining equipment since 1985, with innovations such as high-pressure valves, energy-saving systems, and hydro-powered drilling systems that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. The company aims to analyze markets with mining potential, focusing on countries that can benefit from its technology.
HPE's systems reportedly save customers significant costs on pumping and improve safety and efficiency compared to traditional methods. Mugeri envisions HPE carrying its brand worldwide while maintaining its South African base.
