Hydrogen Council Revamps Board to Accelerate Clean Hydrogen Development
The Hydrogen Council has introduced a new Board to enhance clean hydrogen deployment, led by Co-Chairs François Jackow (CEO of Air Liquide) and Jaehoon Chang (Vice Chair of Hyundai Motor Group). The Board includes 15 executives from various sectors of the hydrogen value chain, such as Baker Hughes, Cummins, Linde, and Toyota.
The Council's strategy, branded as Lead, Build, Deliver, emphasizes actionable timelines, funding, and policy frameworks to transition hydrogen from concept to implementation. Significant investments in clean hydrogen have surged tenfold in five years, indicating strong financial backing.
The Board aims to streamline hydrogen production processes, from electrolyzers to transportation and end-use applications. A key highlight is Masdar's membership, marking the involvement of Middle Eastern nations in the hydrogen market. The Council's upcoming Global CEO Summit will unveil new initiatives aimed at fostering widespread hydrogen adoption by 2026.
