Hydrovert Energy Launches Hydrogen Fuel Cell Generators in India
Hydrovert Energy has launched hydrogen fuel-cell-powered stationary generators with capacities from 5 kVA to 50 kVA, aimed at commercial and industrial applications. The technology offers a zero-emission alternative to diesel generators, with operating costs projected to be lower as manufacturing scales up.

Hydrovert Energy's hydrogen fuel-cell stationary generators range from 5 kVA to 50 kVA, designed for long-duration backup in commercial and industrial sectors. These units utilize hydrogen as the only fuel source, which can be sourced from fossil fuels, renewable energy, or nuclear pathways.
The generators incorporate PEM fuel cells and battery storage, achieving 95% component indigenisation. They feature remote monitoring, hydrogen leak detection, and protection systems. Operating costs are lower than diesel and natural gas generators; however, capital costs are currently six times higher. Hydrovert's first deployment was at an NTPC facility in Greater Noida in April 2026.
