Hyundai and GAC Lingcheng Sign Hydrogen Vehicle Cooperation MOU; Haiwang Launches Hydrogen Storage Production
Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility and GAC Lingcheng have signed an MOU to develop hydrogen commercial vehicles, aligning with China's hydrogen energy strategy. Meanwhile, Haiwang has commenced trial production of a 5,000 mt carbazole project, advancing organic liquid hydrogen storage technology.

On April 16, 2026, Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility Fuel Cell System (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. and GAC Lingcheng New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation memorandum to enhance the hydrogen commercial vehicle sector. This collaboration includes joint R&D and market promotion, aiming to support the development of a low-carbon transportation system in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Concurrently, Haiwang (Ningdong) New Materials Co., Ltd. initiated trial production of its 5,000 mt carbazole project, establishing a leading production site for organic liquid hydrogen storage. The project aims to address industry challenges in hydrogen storage and transportation, facilitating the commercialization of hydrogen energy technologies. The successful collaborations may influence the broader hydrogen energy market and accelerate the transition to low-carbon solutions.
