Hyundai Motor Group has committed $50 million to Tenstorrent, an AI semiconductor company based in Toronto, Canada. This investment, split between Hyundai Motor Company ($30 million) and Kia Corporation ($20 million), is part of a larger funding round totaling $100 million, aimed at advancing the design of AI chiplets and machine learning software.
The collaboration will strengthen Hyundai's semiconductor capabilities for future vehicle technologies, including CPUs and NPUs. Tenstorrent plans to leverage this partnership to penetrate the automotive sector, utilizing its AI semiconductor expertise.
