Hyundai Translead Launches XCIENT Fuel Cell Trucks in Canada with Breadner Trailers
Hyundai Translead has initiated the commercial launch of its XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks in Canada through Breadner Trailers. This expansion signifies a strategic move to enhance hydrogen-powered vehicle adoption in the Canadian market, aligning with government sustainability goals.

Hyundai Translead has officially launched commercial sales of its XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks in Canada, partnering with Breadner Trailers as a dealer. Currently, 11 XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks are operational in Canada, primarily involved in various hydrogen mobility projects in British Columbia, including the BC Hydrogen Ports Project and the H2 Gateway Project.
As of January 2026, the trucks have accumulated over 12 million miles in Europe and nearly 1 million miles in North America, demonstrating their viability for commercial use. This partnership is expected to enhance opportunities for clean transportation solutions and support the decarbonization of the logistics sector in Canada.
