In China, he participated in discussions on hydrogen and battery technology, attended CES in Las Vegas to explore AI innovations, and assessed production strategies at Hyundai's and Kia's plants in India, aiming to strengthen the company's market presence and enhance local production of electric vehicles.

Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun conducted a ten-day global management tour from January 4 to 13, 2026, visiting China, the US, and India. In China, he attended the Korea-China Business Forum, discussing hydrogen and battery collaboration with CATL and Sinopec.
He then attended CES in Las Vegas, meeting with tech leaders, including NVIDIA's CEO, to explore AI and robotics innovations. In India, he visited Hyundai's and Kia's manufacturing plants, assessing production strategies and emphasizing growth in the region's automotive market, aiming to solidify Hyundai's presence as a key player with a market share of approximately 20%. The company plans to enhance local production capabilities and expand its electric vehicle lineup.
