IBM Partners with 21Vianet to Enhance Cloud Infrastructure in China
IBM has partnered with 21Vianet Group to enhance cloud infrastructure in China, focusing on accelerating managed private cloud adoption. Under this collaboration, IBM will provide the physical point of distribution, which will be hosted at 21Vianet's Beijing data center, allowing the introduction of its SmartCloud Enterprise+ to the Chinese market. The partnership aims to establish a new benchmark for cloud computing performance in the region, offering customizable infrastructure with guaranteed 99.9% availability.

IBM has partnered with 21Vianet Group to enhance cloud infrastructure and accelerate managed private cloud adoption in China. IBM will supply the physical point of distribution (POD) while 21Vianet will host the POD at its Beijing data center.
This collaboration allows IBM to introduce its SmartCloud Enterprise+ to the Chinese market, enabling enterprises to manage complex, mission-critical workloads in the cloud. IBM asserts that its cloud capabilities provide a customizable infrastructure built on open standards and guarantees 99.9% availability through a secure virtual private network. The deal aims to set a new benchmark for cloud computing performance in China.
