On July 7, 2026, ICEYE launched four new SAR satellites aboard the Transporter-17 mission, bringing its total to 76. These fourth-generation satellites are part of a growing constellation, supporting national missions for ICEYE US and the Finnish Defence Forces.
Concurrently, Axelspace launched seven GRUS-3 microsatellites, also from Vandenberg Space Force Base, with all first signals received and operational. ICEYE aims to double its production rate to 100 satellites annually by 2027. The rapid deployment and operational capabilities of both companies reflect the increasing demand for sovereign space systems across various global regions, potentially influencing competitive dynamics in satellite services.
