Idemitsu Renewables announced that the Azalea Solar and Storage Project in Kern County, California, achieved Commercial Operation on December 31, 2025. The project combines 60 MWAC of solar generation with a 38 MWAC/152 MWh battery storage system, supplying renewable energy to the California grid under a long-term agreement with Sonoma Clean Power Authority.

The project was financed by a consortium of banks including Mizuho Bank, Commerzbank, and U.S. Bank, which also provided tax equity investment. The facility is expected to power approximately 20,000 homes and offset 50,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually.
