The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) will launch the Vision 2047 white paper at the 5th India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit (IBMSCS) 2026 in Hyderabad on February 5-6, 2025. The white paper outlines a strategic roadmap for establishing a competitive domestic battery ecosystem in India, aiming to enhance energy independence and position India as a leader in energy storage technologies.

Despite ongoing initiatives from various ministries, there is a call for a comprehensive National Battery Strategy to unify efforts and boost domestic manufacturing. The summit will gather over 600 delegates from more than 250 companies, including participants from countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Finland, Australia, Germany, and the USA. Key topics will include supply chain localization, gigafactory deployment, and the need for coordinated policies to strengthen India's battery manufacturing capabilities.
