IIT Madras Startups Expand into US Market Across Multiple Sectors
Five startups from IIT Madras are entering the US market, targeting electric aviation, AI, immersive technology, and environmental infrastructure. This expansion is supported by the IIT Madras Global Research Foundation to enhance global innovation connections.
Five IIT Madras-incubated startups are advancing their US expansion initiatives, including The ePlane Company, Atri AI, Satori XR, Greenvironment.ai, and Zerowatt. The ePlane Company is developing an eVTOL aircraft for urban mobility, initially focusing on the air ambulance market, with a commitment for 788 units valued over $1 billion.
Atri AI plans to invest $2 million to establish its US headquarters in California, focusing on edge-native AI applications. Satori XR is set to invest $1.5 million in Michigan, while Greenvironment.ai is exploring US pilot projects in environmental management.
Zerowatt targets energy efficiency for industrial clients. These expansions reflect the startups' strategic response to emerging opportunities and partnerships in the US market.
