Impulse Space Secures $500 Million Funding, Reaches $4.26 Billion Valuation
Impulse Space has raised $500 million in a Series D funding round, increasing its valuation to $4.26 billion. This funding will enable the company to hire approximately 200 new employees and enhance its in-space mobility capabilities, responding to rising demand for orbital transfer vehicles.

Impulse Space, founded by Tom Mueller, has raised $500 million in its Series D funding, bringing total capital to over $1 billion since its 2021 inception. The company, based in Redondo Beach, California, focuses on developing spacecraft like Mira and Helios for in-space mobility, targeting U.S.
Space Force contracts. The funding round was co-led by 137 Ventures and Banner VC, with participation from Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Linse Capital. Impulse plans to expand its workforce significantly amid increasing demand for aerospace talent. With three successful missions completed, the company aims to launch its next Mira spacecraft by year-end, addressing the growing need for vehicles that can reposition satellites and deliver payloads efficiently in orbit.
