Inauguration of Digital Waste Management Facility in Ho Chi Minh City
A new Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Ho Chi Minh City utilizes digital tracking for efficient waste management. This project, initiated by Unilever Vietnam in partnership with local authorities, aims to enhance recycling processes and community involvement in waste separation.

The Material Recovery Facility (MRF) was inaugurated on April 3 in Tân Mỹ Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, under the project 'Waste Separation at Source and Community-Based Plastic Recycling.' This initiative incorporates digital tracking to optimize the recycling process, recording the journey of recyclable materials through the Grac application.
The model emphasizes community participation, with residents responsible for initial waste sorting, ensuring cleaner materials for processing. This approach aligns with Vietnam's goals for a circular economy and meets ESG standards. The facility is expected to enhance operational efficiency and reinforce sustainable waste management habits.
