Inbound Aerospace Develops India's First Private Reusable Spacecraft for Logistics and Research
Inbound Aerospace, based in Chennai, is developing India's first privately engineered reusable spacecraft aimed at orbital logistics and microgravity research. The project aligns with India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision to enhance self-reliance in space technology and is designed for repeated missions to low Earth orbit. Collaborations with DRDO, ISRO, and private firms support the venture, which anticipates a first flight by late 2028.

Inbound Aerospace is pioneering the development of India's first privately engineered reusable spacecraft, focusing on orbital logistics and microgravity research. This initiative is part of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, promoting self-reliance in space technology.
The spacecraft is designed for multiple missions to low Earth orbit, aiming to reduce costs through reusability. Partnerships with DRDO, ISRO, and private companies like Skyroot Aerospace enhance capabilities. The project, with a payload capacity of 1-2 tons, targets its first flight by late 2028 and contributes to India's growing space economy, projected to reach $44 billion by 2033.
