India Approves Acquisition of Apache Helicopters and Marine Engines
India's Defence Acquisition Council has approved the procurement of six Apache helicopters for $650 million and two marine engines for $76.5 million from Ukraine, enhancing military capabilities. This marks a significant step in India's defense modernization efforts.

The Indian Army is set to acquire six Boeing Apache attack helicopters for approximately $650 million, equipped with Hellfire and Stinger missiles. The Defence Acquisition Council has also approved the purchase of two Zorya marine engines for $76.5 million for the Indian Navy's stealth frigates, with contracts expected in four to six months.
The Army requires a total of 39 Apache helicopters, but only six have been cleared at this time. Additionally, the Ministry of Defence is overseeing the procurement of 20 indigenous Rudra helicopters and has previously approved a $4.48 billion program for four Krivak-class frigates, with staggered delivery timelines from United Shipbuilding Corporation and Goa Shipyard.
