India Signs Contracts for Russian Tunguska Missile System and Boeing P-8I Maintenance
The Indian Ministry of Defence signed contracts worth Rs 858 crore for the Russian Tunguska Air Defence Missile System and Boeing's depot-level inspection of P-8I aircraft. The Tunguska system, valued at Rs 445 crore, enhances India's air defence capabilities and strengthens Indo-Russian ties. The Rs 413 crore contract with Boeing India Defense ensures maintenance of P-8I aircraft, supporting the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.

The Indian Ministry of Defence signed contracts totaling Rs 858 crore for the procurement of the Tunguska Air Defence Missile System and a maintenance contract for P-8I Long-Range Maritime Reconnaissance Aircraft. The Rs 445 crore contract with JSC Rosoboronexport will enhance India's air defence capabilities.
Additionally, a Rs 413 crore contract with Boeing India Defense will ensure depot-level inspection of the P-8I aircraft at a local facility. This aligns with the government's Make-in-India initiative and strengthens strategic partnerships.
