India's IT Firms Forge Partnerships to Enhance AI Capabilities
Indian IT services companies are forming strategic partnerships, notably between TCS and ABB, to enhance industrial AI development. This initiative is crucial for India's transition from a back-office IT hub to a leader in AI technology.

TCS and ABB have restructured their collaboration, initially focused on cloud services, to now include developing industrial AI systems. This partnership aims to leverage ABB's domain expertise in industrial automation and TCS's computing capabilities, optimizing data from operational technology and enhancing cybersecurity measures.
India's IT services sector is responding to the AI landscape by investing in infrastructure, with TCS planning a 100 MW datacenter in collaboration with OpenAI, potentially positioning India as a global AI hub. Additionally, partnerships with other firms like Honeywell and Siemens Energy are underway to boost competitive capabilities in AI. Indian companies are also focusing on tailored AI solutions for specific sectors, leveraging established client relationships and domain knowledge.
