Indira Priyadarshini Hydro Power Deposits Rs 1.22 Crore for Flash Flood Victims
Indira Priyadarshini Hydro Power Private Limited has deposited Rs 1.22 crore for victims of the 2025 Dharamsala flash flood. This action follows a court directive under the Employees' Compensation Act, ensuring dependents of affected workers receive compensation.

A sum of Rs 1.22 crore has been deposited by Indira Priyadarshini Hydro Power Private Limited for the victims of the 2025 flash flood incident at the Manuni Khad Power Project, following a court order. The funds will be distributed to the dependents of deceased and missing workers from the disaster that occurred on June 25, 2025, when flash floods struck the worksite, resulting in eight workers being washed away.
The court found the company negligent due to unsafe labor conditions and had previously mandated compensation under the Employees' Compensation Act after delays in payment were noted. Local authorities will facilitate the compensation distribution, including possible transfers to beneficiaries' home districts.
