Indonesia Examines Potential Cartel Activity Among Online Lenders Linked to Fintech Data Center

Indonesia's competition regulator is investigating if the Fintech Data Center (FDC) enabled cartel behavior among online lenders in relation to interest-rate caps. The Indonesian Competition Commission has questioned multiple licensed peer-to-peer lenders regarding the FDC's role in setting maximum daily lending rates.
The inquiry focuses on whether the FDC allowed lenders to coordinate by sharing interest-rate data that was accessible to other members. The hearings into these allegations are nearing completion.
