The Indonesian government has increased the Export Benchmark Price (HPE) for copper concentrate (Cu 15%) to USD 6,422.91 per wet metric ton (WMT) for February 2026, marking a 4.73% rise from USD 6,133.11 per WMT in January 2026. The HPE for gold has also been raised to USD 148,818.84 per kilogram, up 4.82% from USD 141,972.92 per kilogram.
The Gold Reference Price (HR) has increased to USD 4,628.79 per troy ounce from USD 4,415.85 per troy ounce. This adjustment is outlined in Trade Ministerial Decree No 68 of 2026, applicable from February 1-14, 2026.
The price increases are attributed to strong global demand for copper, particularly from the renewable energy sector and production disruptions in mining. During the data collection period, copper prices rose 4.01%, gold increased 4.82%, and silver surged 17.99%.
