Infinera Acquires San Jose Manufacturing Site from Kennedy Wilson for $27 Million
Infinera, a Nokia-owned optical chipmaker, has purchased a manufacturing site at 6373 San Ignacio Avenue in San Jose for $27 million. The building, part of the Valley Oak Technology Center, features an 82,100-square-foot facility for optical chip production. Infinera relocated its headquarters from Sunnyvale to this site. Nokia acquired Infinera last February for $2.3 billion to enhance its optical networks business.

Infinera, previously headquartered in Sunnyvale, is now under Nokia's ownership following a $2.3 billion acquisition in February. This purchase is part of Nokia's strategy to enhance its scale and profitability in optical networks. Concurrently, Nvidia is leasing nearby space for AI chip production, highlighting the growing demand for data center technology in Silicon Valley.
