Infrastructure Upgrades Planned for Power Supply in Pimpri Chinchwad and Maval
New substations and EHV centres are being developed in Pimpri Chinchwad and Maval to strengthen the power supply. These upgrades are essential to support the projected population growth over the next two decades.

The power supply infrastructure in Pimpri Chinchwad and Maval is undergoing significant enhancements, including new substations in locations such as Thergaon, Ravet, and Dehugaon. An ultra high voltage substation has been approved for Tathawade, with land acquisition currently in progress.
This initiative follows a fund allocation of Rs 17 crore for power-related projects to address frequent outages. Existing extra high voltage centres in Maval are operational at locations like Talegaon Dabhade and Lonavala, supporting industrial consumers.
Proposed developments also include a new ultra high voltage substation at Gahunje and an increase in capacity at the Ambi centre in Talegaon MIDC. These projects aim to improve overall power reliability in the region.
