Ingrid Expands Battery Storage Portfolio to 1.2 GWh with New Projects in Sweden
Ingrid is set to double its battery storage capacity in the Nordics with projects totaling 600 MWh in southern Sweden. This expansion enhances the company's position in the energy infrastructure sector and aims to improve grid flexibility and resilience.

Ingrid is advancing two large-scale battery systems in southern Sweden, specifically in Vaggeryd and Horsaryd, which will add a combined capacity of 600 MWh. This development increases Ingrid's Nordic battery storage from 650 MWh to 1.2 GWh.
The Vaggeryd facility will be the largest in Sweden, featuring a capacity of 100 MW/400 MWh, while the Horsaryd system will provide 100 MW/200 MWh. Both projects have secured building permits and are set to begin construction in 2026, with operations expected by 2028.
Ingrid's project pipeline now totals 7.4 GW, with ongoing developments in Sweden, Finland, Germany, and France. The expansion underscores the growing need for energy storage solutions to bolster system resilience.
