Inlyte Energy Partners with NTS Colocation AG to Deploy 2 MW Energy Storage in Switzerland
Inlyte Energy and NTS Colocation AG have partnered to deploy iron-sodium battery energy storage systems at NTS facilities in Switzerland, starting with a pilot project in Bern. The aim is to install up to 2 MW of capacity by 2028, with an initial 600 kWh installation expected to be operational by the end of 2026. This project focuses on enhancing energy resilience and sustainability in data centers.

Inlyte Energy and NTS Colocation AG are collaborating to implement iron-sodium battery energy storage at NTS's facilities, beginning with a pilot installation at the Bern data center. They plan to deploy up to 2 MW of capacity by 2028, starting with a 600 kWh system set for commissioning in late 2026.
The project aims to validate the technology's performance in a data center environment and supports NTS's strategy for sustainable energy solutions. NTS operates data centers in Zurich and Bern, emphasizing renewable energy and waste heat recovery, amid rising global data center demand driven by AI and digital growth.
