INNIO Group has announced a major order from VoltaGrid for 1.5 gigawatts (GW) to enhance behind-the-meter power generation for AI and high-performance computing. The supply will consist of 300 Jenbacher gas engines from the J624 and J620 series, with the J624 series integrated into VoltaGrid's QPac™ platform.

The engines will be packaged in 25 MW units for scalable deployment in U.S. data centers, with delivery scheduled by 2028. This collaboration aims to create a reliable energy backbone for future AI applications, providing flexible and efficient power management for data center operations.
