Innovate UK Business Growth Supports £55 Million in Funding and Job Creation in South West in 2025

In 2025, Innovate UK Business Growth, through Business West, supported 40 businesses with £25,192,942 in grant funding and facilitated equity investments totaling £30,616,845 for 26 businesses. The initiative helped maintain 275 jobs and create 113 new roles.

Notable successes include Tope Ocean, which secured £182,000 in funding and doubled its turnover, and Snap Analytics, which created over 100 jobs. The program also aided 209 businesses in international expansion, exemplified by KuasaSemi's partnerships in the semiconductor industry after receiving over £117,000 in funding.

Oort Energy in Bristol formed partnerships in Latvia and Germany, enhancing their hydrogen electrolyser technology. Innovate UK launched the Secure Innovation Security Reviews to assist businesses with cybersecurity. With over £55 million raised and a focus on innovation, the South West is positioned for continued growth in 2026.
