Intelligent Energy Launches IE-GRID™ Microgrid Solution in Partnership with University of Nottingham
Intelligent Energy has launched its IE-GRID™ microgrid solution in partnership with the University of Nottingham, utilizing its IE-DRIVE™ HD fuel cell technology to deliver scalable, zero-emission power for various applications. The deployment, part of the Research England-funded Feed-MT project, will take place at the PEMC Building on the university's Jubilee Campus, focusing on testing and demonstration of the system's rapid response and grid independence capabilities.

Intelligent Energy has deployed its first in-house developed IE-GRID™ product in collaboration with the University of Nottingham. The IE-GRID system utilizes the IE-DRIVE™ HD fuel cell technology in a containerized format, providing scalable, zero-emission power for data centers, grid balancing, backup power, and off-grid applications.
This deployment is part of the Research England-funded Feed-MT project at the University, specifically within the PEMC Building on the Jubilee Campus, where testing and demonstration will occur. The IE-GRID system is designed to offer rapid response, high power density, and grid independence.
Additionally, Intelligent Energy has supplied a 600kW stationary power solution to the U.S. Department of Defense and developed a hybrid generator for the UK Film & TV sector.
