Minister José Zapata Morante visited Nuevo Perú transport company in Pachacamac to address security issues faced by Lima Sur transport operators. He announced prioritization of the area with a deployment of patrol vehicles within 20 days, as part of the National Citizen Security Plan 2026-2028, which includes acquiring around 1000 patrol vehicles by year-end.
The event involved discussions on enhancing safety measures, including the installation of 250 high-tech cameras and the implementation of panic buttons. Additionally, a modern Data Center will support intelligence efforts, utilizing technology that led to the capture of 40 wanted individuals. The minister emphasized a goal of 'zero crime' and plans to return for follow-up.
