IPD Group Acquires Platinum Cables to Enhance Infrastructure Growth
IPD Group, valued at approximately $550 million, has acquired Platinum Cables for $37.5 million, enhancing its electrical infrastructure and power distribution services. Since its IPO in late 2021, IPD has seen revenue grow at a 32% CAGR and EPS at 41%.
The acquisition adds $45 million in revenue and $7.2 million in EBIT, positioning IPD for further growth in sectors like data centers and electric vehicle charging. Management plans to explore additional acquisitions, with current gearing projected to peak at 0.8 times FY25 EBITDA. The deal, expected to be EPS accretive by 11% in FY25, diversifies IPD's exposure into infrastructure and industrial sectors, now comprising 32% of its portfolio.
