IQE Projects £97 Million Revenue for 2025 Amid Growing AI and Defense Demand
IQE Plc expects fiscal 2025 revenue of approximately £97 million, at the higher end of its previous forecast range of £90-100 million. This projection is driven by accelerated military and defense program execution, alongside rising demand for photonics related to artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers.
The company reported improved business activity in the second half of 2025, supported by early deliveries for defense projects and solid performance in wireless products linked to smartphone launches. IQE anticipates an adjusted EBITDA of at least £2 million, reflecting better capacity utilization.
As of the end of 2025, it had £15.6 million in cash. The board is conducting a strategic review, exploring non-binding acquisition offers for the group and individual assets. The demand trends observed in Q4 2025 are expected to persist, particularly in mobile consumer markets, data centers, and AI-related photonics.
