SPACE ECONOMY
ESA Phi-Lab Ireland was launched at Irish Manufacturing Research in Mullingar as a hub for space technology development, in collaboration with the AMBER Centre at Trinity College Dublin. The facility, part of a €170 million government commitment to ESA over five years, aims to accelerate innovation in space technologies and enhance Ireland's competitiveness in the global space economy.
Minister Peter Burke announced the first supported companies, MBRYONICS and Ubotica Technologies, and a second open call for proposals is planned to encourage broader participation in the space sector. The initiative supports 120 space-active companies in Ireland.
