Isar Aerospace Prepares for New Rocket Launch from Andøya Space in Norway
SPACE ECONOMY
Isar Aerospace is set to conduct a new rocket launch from Andøya Space following a previous attempt that ended with the 'Spectrum' rocket crashing into the sea. The new launch window is open until January 23, featuring satellites intended for orbit.
Andøya has launched over 1200 research rockets since 1962, providing critical atmospheric data. Isar Aerospace plans to build 40 Spectrum rockets annually from its Munich headquarters. The project is notable in Europe, and Andøya Space has issued a risk map for the launch area, which extends towards Greenland and Svalbard.
