Islamic Development Bank Delegation Inspects Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project Progress
A delegation from the Islamic Development Bank, led by Vice President Dr. Rami Mahmoud Ahmed, inspected the Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project to evaluate its progress and construction activities. The team, in collaboration with WAPDA officials and contractors, expressed satisfaction with the project's adherence to international standards and reaffirmed its commitment by providing $180 million for critical components. The bank aims to support Pakistan's social and economic development through this initiative.

A delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), led by Vice President Dr. Rami Mahmoud Ahmed, visited the Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project to assess progress and inspect construction activities. The three-member team conducted inspections at various construction sites alongside WAPDA officials, contractors, and consultants.
General Manager Asim Rauf Khan provided a comprehensive briefing on project progress, highlighting achievements and future plans. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the pace of civil, electrical, and mechanical works, commending the adherence to international engineering standards.
The IsDB reaffirmed its commitment to the project, providing $180 million in funding for spillway gates, diversion tunnel gates, and powerhouse turbines. The bank aims to support Pakistan's social and economic development and energy self-sufficiency.
