Israel Allocates $32.8M for National Quantum Computing Center Initiative
The Israeli government is investing $32.8 million to establish a national quantum computing research center. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among academia, industry, and government, enhancing Israel’s competitiveness in quantum technologies.

The Israel Innovation Authority has initiated a funding program worth approximately 100 million shekels ($32.8 million) aimed at developing a national quantum computing infrastructure. This center will provide companies and researchers access to essential R&D services, including hardware, cloud-based services, and algorithm evaluation, with a mandate to commence operations within 12 months and full establishment in 18 months.
The initiative seeks to position Israel as a frontrunner in quantum technology while serving as a bridge between academia and industry to tackle complex computational challenges. The successful implementation could enhance Israel's global standing in high-tech sectors.
