ISRO Plans PSLV Launch by June-July Following Two Failures
ISRO is set to attempt a PSLV launch by late June or early July after two recent failures. This move is critical for restoring operational reliability of its launch vehicle amid ongoing preparations for the Gaganyaan crewed space mission.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) aims to conduct its next Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) mission by the end of June or early July, following two failed launches in 2025 and January 2026. Both missions, EOS-09 and EOS-N1, failed during their third stage due to issues with components not manufactured by ISRO.
In response, ISRO has changed the component vendor for future flights. Alongside the PSLV, private firm Skyroot Aerospace is also preparing for its first orbital launch, with payload fairing delivered to Sriharikota in April. ISRO's focus remains on the Gaganyaan mission, requiring at least two uncrewed flights before the crewed mission can proceed.
