Itaú Ventures has led an investment in Minter, aimed at addressing curtailment in Brazil's energy sector through mobile data centers. The Series A round includes Grupo Leste and Legend Capital, with expected funding between R$ 20 million and R$ 50 million.

Itaú Ventures has invested in Minter, a startup specializing in mobile data centers to tackle curtailment, which affects renewable energy generation in Brazil. This Series A funding round also includes Grupo Leste and Legend Capital, with anticipated investments typically ranging from R$ 20 million to R$ 50 million.
Minter, established in July 2023, installs container-based data centers at renewable energy sites, currently serving a single client with a 20 MW capacity in Xique-Xique, Bahia. The company plans to scale to 40 MW by year-end and 500 MW by 2029, aiming to monetize energy losses from curtailment. Itaú Ventures seeks to enhance operational efficiency in energy partnerships as it aims to allocate R$ 200 million across multiple projects by July.
